Get to Know Brandon

Account Executive/Competitive Team Player/Social Chair

What do you enjoy most about working here?
“It’s hard to point to one thing, but overall, it’s our awesome corporate culture, which I believe is why we’ve been named one of Kansas City's Best Places to work four years in a row. When I meet new people and the subject of work is brought up, I often describe Perceptive Software by saying, ‘Think dotcom, Silicon Valley, mid-90s; except we're in Kansas City, it’s 2008 and we're profitable!’”
Does he dodgeball?
“I do indeed. ‘Nice shot Maverick!’ I ask you, at what other workplace can you hit someone in the face with a dodgeball and get away with it?”
One of his most memorable moments at Perceptive Software … so far:
“I would definitely have to say the sales department-hosted, company-wide happy hour, ‘Lost in the South Pacific’ that I helped organize last summer. We brought in four tons of sand, a makeshift ocean, plenty of frosty cold beverages, and Home Depot’s entire inventory of tiki torches. We had everything except David Hasselhoff running through the sand with the Baywatch theme song playing. Needless to say, it was a great time—even without The Hoff.”
Favorite movie?
This is an impossible question. Clearly the entire Star Wars collection is at the top, along with The Godfather. Or perhaps it’s simply anything with Will Ferrell.
Favorite movie quote?
“Too close for missiles, I’m switching to guns.” Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, Top Gun
Favorite music band?
Pearl Jam
Sum up in one sentence why someone should come to work at Perceptive Software:
“I could work for 1,000 companies over the next 1,000 years and wouldn't find the type of incredible corporate culture that we have here.”
Has the fame of becoming an overnight radio sensation changed him?
“Now my longtime childhood dream of becoming a famous Hollywood voice actor might actually come true. Perhaps someday, you'll hear my voice narrating a movie trailer or on Saturday morning cartoons.”
If Brandon had a superpower, what would it be?
“While I like the indestructibility and accelerated healing powers of Wolverine, I think the obvious choice is to steal the powers of all the other superheroes.”
